same excitement, different view

clearly, the stairs were a HUGE deal for our family

officially pig farmers - 22 feeders

another gel stain project.  well, the top anyway

1 coat of gel stain
2 coats of gel stain, plus sealer

still loving our bigger bed, still living with funky colored sheets. lol

insulating the stairs to keep the cold in the basement

I told Mark I would love an actual guardwall before we put our Christmas tree up and look what my amazingly talented guy did.  Pinterest inspiration.  Unfinished but far better than the sheets of plywood we had for 6 months. lol

view from the top

in doing the electrical element of the stairs, Mark and my dad discovered that this was the condition of our flexible ductwork and a partial cause for our poorly heating home.  age and mice.  yuck!

my guardrail and handrail, sanded and stained.  loving it even more!!

replaced a leaking sink with a fb yard sale find of a sink, faucet, and counter.  longer counter allowed us room to build a space for eventual much needed storage shelves for the kiddos.  someday.  like everything else...
